Morehouse School of Medicine Lee Street Campus
LONG was proud to provide the civil engineering services for the Morehouse School of Medicine – Lee Street Campus.
Completed last year in 2020, the Lee Street campus, named for its location in the West End, will include a 25,000 sq. ft. ambulatory health facility, a 9,000 sq. ft. fitness/wellness center, 2,500 sq. ft. of retail space and a four-level parking deck at the corner of Lee Street and Westview Drive.
Campus features also include the first-ever graduate student housing units on the MSM campus, with 187 units through a combination of studio, one- and two-bedroom offerings.
This $52 million mixed-use development will provide a new gateway to the Atlanta University Center, in Atlanta’s Historic West End.

LONG recently completed a bridge project in Elbert County for CR 313/Fork Road at Deep Creek. This project was part of the Low Impact Bridge Program (LIBP) for GDOT. William Bamberg, P.E., one of our transportation engineers, headed this pursuit. Services included replacing the existing structurally deficient posted bridge on CR 313 (Fork Creek Road) over Deep Creek. The existing typical section consisted of two, 7- to 8-foot dirt travel lanes with minimal shoulders and was replaced with two, 9- to 10-foot travel lanes with 4-foot shoulders and rural side ditches. The bridge was replaced along the existing alignment. The new single-span bridge is 60 feet long and 30 feet wide and includes a new guardrail.
