LONG recently had the pleasure of participating in the Georgia Utility Contractors Association’s Summer Golf Tournament at the Indian Hills Golf Club in Marietta, Georgia.

GUCA has been in business for over 40 years as a construction trade association representing contractors who install or rehabilitate new and existing underground utility systems. This organization serves as a voice for the underground utility industry through educational opportunities, networking events, etc.
 
It was a wonderful day a round of golf and it was just as wonderful to connect in person with Utility Contractors network.

On Sept. 16, the University of North Georgia officially opened the Cottrell Center for Business, Technology & Innovation at the school’s Dahlonega campus. LONG teamed up with Cooper Carry to provide services including Civil Engineering/Site Design, Construction Documentation, and Permitting. We were so excited for this grand opening and we look forward to seeing the opportunities this facility will be able to offer its students.

Mr. Shayan has over 24 years of Civil Engineering experience. Throughout his career, Mr. Shayan has been providing civil engineering services for the City of Atlanta and in its surrounding metropolitan areas, with a majority of the projects focused in the Federal and Commercial markets. His primary clients have included the U.S. Army Corps Engineers (USACE), Duke Energy, and the U.S. Air Force. Civil Site Design projects have included commercial shopping centers anchored by National Retailers, such as Walmart Stores, Inc., QuickTrip Corporation, Lidl US Stores, Inc., and Cypress Acquisitions, LLC.
