Long Engineering (LONG) provides location studies, roadway, and highway design services for private and public clients throughout Georgia and Alabama. We employ some of the State’s most talented bridge designers, which includes the former Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) State Bridge Engineer, as well as other former GDOT bridge designers. Our bridge design group is supported by hydraulic engineers, providing a full array of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling associated with bridges, roadways, and private development. 

LONG’s experienced transportation and civil engineering professionals, supported by their survey and field crews, have provided design, planning, and inspection services for the construction of new and rehabilitated bridges, highways, and urban/rural roadways. Our roadway and highway projects have included multiple restricted and non-restricted access highways, local roadway widenings, and modifications to state routes and intersections for a variety of state and local jurisdictions. Complimenting our extensive industry experience, LONG’s Transportation Division is highly-experienced and knowledgeable in the planning and design of traffic management systems, including the protection and maintenance of traffic during roadway constructions.
