LONG Sponsors Pipeliners Club Scholarship Fundraiser Tournament

LONG was a proud sponsor at last week’s Golf Tournament for the Pipeliners Club of Atlanta Annual Scholarship Fundraiser at The Berkeley Hills Country Club in Duluth, Georgia.

The Pipeliners Club of Atlanta’s Scholarship Program has been in existence since their 2007 program year. Through 2020, they have awarded 121 recipients a total of $144,900. Sponsors at this event help make it possible for the Atlanta Pipeliners to award their continuing education scholarships every year.

It was a beautiful day for the tournament!

Shayan Welcomed as Civil Site Design PM

LONG is pleased to welcome Bobby Shayan, PE into his new role as a Civil Site Design Project Manager.

Mr. Shayan recently managed the ZAPATA Atlanta Civil Team and oversaw all the land development projects from concept phase to completion of construction. His other objectives included exploring alternative opportunities available in the civil engineering field with a primary focus on site development, building up client relationships, business development, and providing technical expertise, guidance and mentoring to more junior level managers and engineers. Mr. Shayan was specifically interested in self-directed projects, with the ability to be in a position to oversee project managers, senior and junior engineers.

He brings a valuable knowledge of business development, managing design/build teams, performing QA/QC and ITR on projects, preparing contracts, scopes, schedules, and budgets, reviewing invoices and subcontracts, and developing and training managers and junior engineers.

Bobby will play a vital role to the success and continued strengthening of our team!

On behalf of all of us here at LONG, welcome aboard, Bobby!

New Vac Truck Rounds Out LONG Fleet

LONG is excited to introduce the newest member to our production fleet of vehicles which is our brand-new vacuum truck! This truck allows LONG’s Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) specialists to locate underground utilities swiftly and more precisely.

SUE vacuum trucks use air and/or water to safely uncover buried utilities. Once underground utilities are discovered, SUE professionals can verify their existence, condition and exact location. This enables engineers to plan construction projects that minimally impact utilities, and allows contractors to increase productivity and create safer job sites. LONG provides SUE services throughout the Southeast.

We are excited about this new investment, and we look forward to enhancing our SUE footprint!
