Long Engineering, Inc. is performing the construction inspection work for Wayne County on their SR-169 railroad overpass and roadway improvements project. The project includes a bridge over Norfolk-Southern RR, mechanically stabilized embankment walls, and approximately a mile of road work. The project is designed to eliminate train-induced congestion on this important corridor, coming in and out of downtown Jesup, Georgia. The project has a schedule of two years for completion. Long Engineering, Inc. inspectors are inspecting all bridge and roadway work, traffic control and erosion control.
