Survey Instrument Operator | Land Surveying
Long Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Survey Instrument Operator for our Atlanta, Georgia office. The Instrument Operator will be a key member of a survey team that performs topographic, boundary, and database surveys.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Perform boundary, topographic, and utility surveys including ALTA surveys
- Perform roadway database surveys
- Ability to operate robotic total stations with proficiency in GPS, Static, and RTK technology
- Must be detail oriented and document all survey procedures and results
- Meet specified schedules
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Georgia driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Good mathematical and communication skills
- Commitment to detail and quality of work
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency of field survey methods
- Desire to further career in surveying
- Desire to work with a highly skilled Registered Land Surveyors to learn advanced survey techniques
- Ability to work overtime and travel throughout the state of Georgia
- Physically able to work outdoors under all conditions
- Ability to handle multiple tasks within the same day
