Survey Instrument Operator | Land Surveying

Long Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Survey Instrument Operator for our Atlanta, Georgia office.  The Instrument Operator will be a key member of a survey team that performs topographic, boundary, and database surveys.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  1. Perform boundary, topographic, and utility surveys including ALTA surveys
  2. Perform roadway database surveys
  3. Ability to operate robotic total stations with proficiency in GPS, Static, and RTK technology
  4. Must be detail oriented and document all survey procedures and results
  5. Meet specified schedules

Minimum Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Valid Georgia driver’s license with a clean driving record
  3. Good mathematical and communication skills
  4. Commitment to detail and quality of work

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Proficiency of field survey methods
  2. Desire to further career in surveying
  3. Desire to work with a highly skilled Registered Land Surveyors to learn advanced survey techniques
  4. Ability to work overtime and travel throughout the state of Georgia
  5. Physically able to work outdoors under all conditions
  6. Ability to handle multiple tasks within the same day
