Savannah Forsyth Park

Hussey Gay Bell retained Long Engineering (LONG) to provide Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) services for the City of Savannah, Forsyth Park Project in the Historic Downtown District of Savannah. 

LONG provided SUE Quality Level B (QLB) that entailed field designating utilities within Forsyth Park and adjacent roadways. The project area included approximately 5,700 linear feet of adjacent roadway, as well as the 35-acre park with an estimated 10-acres of underground utilities impacted. Because of the historic significance of Forsyth Park, UV Sensitive paint was used on decorative hardscape park surfaces.

Deliverables included field sketches in PDF format as well as a KMZ (Google Earth) for use by the surveyors to cross-reference field utility markings against collected field utility survey data. LONG provided a QA/QC review of the  surveyor’s final product relative to utilities shown.
