With the PGA TOUR’s 2021 FedEx Cup Playoff coming to conclusion this week, we thought it fitting to announce a recent award to provide complete, up-to-date as-built survey of the East Lake Golf Club. LONG (an Atlas Company) is grateful to have been awarded this contract for this historic club and home course of the legendary golfer Bobby Jones. We have proudly provided land surveying services to East Lake since 2017.
Located here in Atlanta, GA, East Lake Golf Club has been the permanent home of the TOUR Championship since 2005. The tournament was first played at East Lake in 1998 and has been held at East Lake 20 times since then. The TOUR Championship is the culminating event of the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedEx Cup, with only the top 30 players on the points list qualifying each year.
We are excited for the opportunity to once again provide these professional surveying services for this historic site. Check out some of the course images below!
We are excited to announce that our new Charleston office location is officially open for business!
Our Vice President of Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) for the Carolinas, Thomas Rock, will be heading this new office. Mr. Rock will play a vital role to the success and growth of our team by offering our diverse set of services to existing clients, while also attracting new customers in the Carolina market.
Conveniently located less than 30 minutes from historic downtown, this place of business will serve to enhance our footprint, broaden our customer base, and provide significant revenue opportunities for the future. Our headquarters and main office will continue to be in Atlanta.
We are excited about our continuing expansion into new market territories!

LONG was recently honored to serve as an Eagle Sponsor in the 11th Annual Golf Tournament at The Ford Plantation, presented by Great Oaks Bank.
Sean Byers, Our Vice President of Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) and Survey, represented LONG along with our SUE friends Chris Burke and P. Nathan Brown, RLS with Hussey Gay Bell, and Chris Marsengill, PE, PTOEwith Kimley Horne.
It was a beautiful day on the course. We were happy to offer cold beverage refreshments and jovial conversation to the passing golfers. We also provided fun incentives for our tent guests by giving out a sleeve of LONG blue golf balls for anyone who could hit the green on their first swing, and the Chamber of Commerce offered prizes for those who could hit closest to the hole using a child-sized golf club.
We had a blast!
