Senior Roadway Construction Inspector
Construction Inspection & Engineering (CEI)
Long Engineering is seeking a Senior Roadway Construction Inspector(s) for our Atlanta, Georgia office. The Senior Roadway Construction Inspector(s) will join our growing Construction Engineering and Inspections Department. Positions are available across the state of Georgia with preference given to local candidates. The candidate will provide quality assurance reviews of roadway and/or bridge projects being constructed to construction is in compliance with the plan and specifications. Individuals must be detail oriented and organized in the documentation of observations.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Observe construction and document compliance/non-compliance with contract documents
- Conduct field tests according to established procedures
- Coordinate with other inspectors and supervisors on testing requirements
- Become familiar with project contract documents
- Communicate technical matters to the client in a concise and accurate manner
- Conduct activities in a safe manner
Minimum Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in roadway, bridge and highway inspections
- GSWCC Level I or II certification or WECS certification
- Concrete and Asphalt Testing certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in roadway, bridge, or highway inspections
- Possession of certifications in GDOT and/or GSWCC Erosion Control
- Field Concrete Technician and Asphalt QCT
- Roadway Technician Testing Certification
- Valid Georgia driver’s license with a clean driving record
