Project Manager, | Civil Site Design

The Project Manager position requires strong leadership and communication skills, excellent technical knowledge within the civil site design field, monitors and tracks project progress and schedules, invoices and budget, and is responsible for overall project performance and profitability.  The candidate is also responsible for preparing proposals, managing client relationships and plan, direct and monitor all aspects of multiple civil site design projects.  This position requires strong drive, motivation and self-initiative.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing site design including preparation of site plans, grading and drainage plans, utility plans, erosion and sediment control plans, storm water management, detailing and permitting
  • Supervising and mentoring junior engineers and CAD technicians
  • Managing multiple project schedules and budgets simultaneously
  • Performing design work accurately and efficiently
  • Communicating clearly and positively both internally and externally
  • Preparation of proposals

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in site design
  • Professional Engineer licensure in Georgia is required or ability to obtain within one year
  • Strong leadership skills – ability to manage and build teams effectively
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Highly organized, detail-driven and conscientious
  • History of managing projects efficiently and profitably
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
  • Commitment to detail and quality of work

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of applicable zoning and development ordinances and approval processes
  • Autocad Civil 3D software, hydrology, and hydraulic software experience
  • GSWCC Level II Design Professional Certification
