This 220-room hotel was in the final design phase when it was discovered that sewer service was not available. Marriott and Long Engineering, Inc. jointly developed an aggressive sanitary sewer service strategy that centered on accelerating the permit process through the City of Atlanta. This approach resulted in the City committing to provide sewer service and issuing building permits for the project. Marriott was so pleased by the result that they engaged Long Engineering, Inc. to take over the civil engineering services for the project including assisting them with easement negotiations with adjacent property owners, providing technical support on pre-closing issues and preparing construction documents...
